Towards clean, transparent, and fair elections: PLM COMELEC, AP ink MOU

The PLM Student Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and Ang Pamantasan (AP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for their partnership in the conduct of the PLM Supreme Student Council (SSC) and College Student Council (CSC) Elections 2025 and its related electoral activities, Apr. 3.
This formalized the partnership between the two nonpartisan and independent organizations to heighten voter education in the university.
“The PLM COMELEC and AP recognizes the importance of fair, clean, transparent student elections in the university, and recognize the role of the media in informing the public and promoting good governance,” the two organizations stated in the MOU.
Present at the signing for PLM COMELEC were David Lawrence A. Bea, Chairperson, and Gene Michael C. Co, Operations Officer. While AP is represented by Jeanette B. Tropa, Managing Editor, and Ella Mae M. De Asis, Board Secretary.
In this partnership, AP will provide exclusive coverage and publish election-related articles, give the COMELEC a platform for announcements and conferences, and contribute questions for the Harapan 2025: Elections Debate.
