SSC formalizes resignation of council members following alleged bullying controversy

In their official announcement addressing the controversial screenshots on council-related bullying allegations, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) Supreme Student Council (SSC) released resolutions on the resignation of select officers from their executive committee, Feb. 11
These officers are Lheanmuel Sawit (Acting Treasurer); Andrea Nicole Cuevas (College of Education Representative); Nathaniel Kalaw (College of Physical Therapy Representative); and Danica Rose Olat (College of Law Representative).
According to their respective PLM SSC Resolutions, Kalaw and Olat were recently relinquished from their council posts last Jan. 19 and Feb. 10, 2025 respectively due to personal reasons and transfer of schools.
Meanwhile Sawit and Cuevas, according to the SSC resolutions, submitted their resignation letters last Aug. 27 and Sep. 18, 2024 respectively with reasons unidentified. Moreover, Sawit will still render financial obligations to the council and participation in their internal investigations before his final clearance from his post as agreed upon a memorandum of agreement with the SSC.

Based on the SSC Resolution No. 2, s. 2025, Sawit and Olat were among the eight SSC executive officers implicated in the controversy.
The SSC also said in the same announcement that through the release of these resolutions along with other agreements and their minutes of the meetings, they "take full responsibility for governance and transparency" towards the issue emphasizing that they also "refuse to dismiss the concerns of the students."
