For the third consecutive year, the PLM Student Commission on Audit (SCOA) and Ang Pamantasan (AP) collaborated to promote transparency and accountability within the university through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing, Jan 14.
Building on the success of their previous partnerships, the renewed collaboration highlights both organizations' shared dedication of raising awareness on the significance of auditing accredited student organizations and councils.
This collaboration further underscores SCOA’s mandate under the PLM Student Manual, which entrusts the commission with the power to examine and audit the financial records of student councils and organizations, ensuring financial integrity across the campus.
Through their joint efforts, AP will provide extensive coverage of SCOA’s auditing activities, assuring that the results of financial examinations of student councils and organizations are covered and communicated effectively to the PLM community.
Representing SCOA at the signing were Chief Commissioner Patricia Vera C. Parane and Secretary Maria Alliza May Cruz, while AP was represented by Editor-in-Chief Calvin Kristan R. Agustin and Managing Editor Jeanette B. Tropa.
As independent bodies, both SCOA and AP are committed to continue their shared vision of transparency and good governance in the university. This renewed partnership will run throughout the current academic year.
Pagsusuri 2025 will be the Special Coverage of Ang Pamantasan for the auditing of student councils and organizations for the Academic Year 2024 - 2025.
