PLM kicks off its Pasko sa Barangay PLM 2024

Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) welcomed December with festivities through simultaneous events as part of Pasko sa Barangay PLM, Dec. 2.

The Battle of the Bands, Parol Making Contest, and Nativity Scene Contest were among the activities held at the University Activity Center.

Moreover, to commence the much-awaited Christmas tree lighting ceremony, a parade of lanterns was held, showcasing the parols created by the participating colleges and university offices. The lighting ceremony was led by PLM President Atty. Domingo “Sonny” Reyes, Jr., Supreme Student Council Representative Madielyn Retiro, and Chairman of the Board of Regents Atty. Edward Serapio.

In a live interview with Ang Pamantasan, Pres. Reyes left a message for the PLM community saying, “Hindi kawalan ang kakulangan, hindi kabawasan ang kakapusan at hindi hadlang ang kasulutan. Kasi, ang kakawalan ay hindi hadlang, ang kakulangan ay napupunuan, ang kakapusan ay nagagawaan ng paraan.”

He also shared during the interview that there is no specific gift for the students from the University yet, they have been preparing things to look forward to for the next calendar year.

The ceremony was graced by the beautiful voices and musical accompaniment of the PLM Chorale and students from the Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance.
