The PLM Student Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has officially declared the 2025 Supreme Student Council (SSC) and College Student Council (CSC) Elections a success, after logging a record-breaking 56.07% voter turnout, the highest in PLM’s electoral history.

Out of 11,979 students, 6,717 casted their votes, surpassing the 52.35% turnout in 2024 (7,500 out of 14,326 students) and the 55.09% in 2023 (8,992 out of 16,323 students).

The College of Public Administration (CPA) topped the turnout with 94.12%, followed by the College of Education (CED) at 83.96%, and the College of Nursing (CN) at 75.99%. In contrast, the College of Law (CL) failed to meet the minimum voter turnout requirement, registering just 3.28%, and was marked with a “Failure of Elections” in accordance with COMELEC’s Omnibus Election Code.

PLM COMELEC also recognized significant improvements from previously underperforming colleges in the mock elections. The College of Architecture (CA), College of Science (CS), and College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) all reached successful election thresholds in the official polls.

The student poll body expressed gratitude to the students who participated in the elections for demonstrating a commitment to student leadership and progress within the Pamantasan, and assured that updates will be provided as the election results are finalized, with the unveiling of the newly elected student leaders approaching.
