LRMC invites student publications to an exclusive tour of LRT-1 Cavite Extension Phase 1 Stations

Before its official operation, Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) invited different universities in Paranaque and Manila for a firsthand experience of the newly-constructed Light Rail Transit (LRT) - Line 1 Dr. Santos (formerly Sucat) and Ninoy Aquino Avenue Stations, Nov. 12.

Ms. Jacqueline S. Gorospe, the Corporate Communication Head of LRMC shared the journey from its planning process to construction of the extension.

The stations are PWD-friendly; commuters are advised to be prepared for potential congestion on the first day of operation, particularly at stairs, escalators, and elevators. Meanwhile, the signages in the stations shall help commuters navigate for better access to the train.

Redemptorist - Aseana Station, MIA Road Station, PITX Station, Ninoy Aquino Avenue Station, and Dr. Santos Station are part of the Phase 1 of LRT-1 Cavite Extension and will start its operations on Nov. 16, while the Phase 2 of the extension is expected to operate on 2031.
